Ingredients:

1 Tbsp lemon zest
1/3 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice
2 Eggs - separated
pinch salt
1/2 cup + 1/4 cup sugar
1 cup milk
3 Tbsp flour
2 Tbsp melted butter

Whip 2 egg whites with pinch of salt and 1/2 cup sugar until stiff. Put in another bowl.

In same mixing bowl, beat 2 egg yolks and 1/4 cup sugar. Add lemon zest, 1 cup milk, 3 Tbsp flour and 2 Tbsp melted butter. Fold in egg white mixture.

Bake in individual custard cups placed in water bath at 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
